Autumn Classic 2 - Results

It was a welcome return to Minley Manor having only raced there for the 12 hour enduro in August, albeit on a very different course layout. The team did well to plan a course at such short notice after the cancellation of Crowthorne. Although the recent forestry work has certainly had an impact on the trails we'll be working hard to clear or redesign them where possible. So well done to everyone that came and raced. The warm sun all day certainly helped raise spirits, and despite some puddles and soft trails you all seemed to be grinning through the splashes!!
It's just two weeks until Round 1 of the Merida Brass Monkeys Winter Enduro so get your entry in now. Remember there is no entry on the day.
VENUE CHANGE: Gorrick Autumn Classic 2 now at Minley Manor, 10 November

For reasons beyond our control, we will not be able to hold our Endura Autumn Classic 2 cross country event at Crowthorne Wood this Sunday. We do apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience that this may cause.
We will however still be running the event, at Minley Manor, Yateley, Hants.
The event will be well signed (you don’t go into the actual Manor house entrance) and GU17 9UF is the nearest postcode which is for the houses on the venue’s entrance road. The entrance is a good tarmac to gravel road off the main A327 Minley Road, and only a minute from the M3 junction 4a.
This venue is well known to those of you who have ridden the 12:12 TORQ in your Sleep and, despite some tree thinning in the central section which we have had to work around, we have designed an XC course that will include many of your favourite sections.
All the facilities will be there as usual, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Test Valley Tour Cool Challenge Finish Times

The Cool Challenge returned to Andover for it's annual visit and riders were luckily treated to sun and the odd light shower. Careful trail plotting had made the most of the local bridleways and byways with the best trails in Collingbourne Woods serving up a good dose of twisty fun. Finish times are provisionally listed below. Andover local Adam Vaughan won the prize draw for a Saddle Skedaddle mountain biking weekend, well done. That's it for 2013, we'll be back for the Hot MTB Challenge on 8 June 2014.

The fully way marked routes will feature all your favourite off road trails in glorious north west Hampshire, including the much loved ‘Woods’ section, where we have been working to make it even better this year. A hearty "Well Done!" to all who came and raced in the constant drizzle at Frith Hill. Early racers were rewarded with a slightly moist track, but large puddles and rivers of flowing water soon changed course conditions to require a shortened lap. But all agreed the course was still 100% rideable and there were many smiling gritty faces...

Sunday 13 October brings the first of our Autumn Classic cross country race events, which will now be at FRITH HILL, Deepcut. This venue has a nice mix of gravel bashes, brilliant swooping singletrack plus some tricky bomb holes...
TrailTrax Hannington - Results

So that's the TrailTrax Series 2013 over and done with. We're really pleased to have seen so many riders keep attending and great to see plenty of first timers take to 'competitive map reading'. Full and final Series Positions will be published later this week as and when we've processed the numbers. Thank you to Mountain Trax for their continued support in providing £1000's worth of product prizes. See you in 2014.

Final Gorrick TrailTrax of 2013

The last mountain bike orienteering event of this year's TrailTrax Series takes place on Sunday 29 September at Hannington, nr Tadley, Hants. The event is based at the Vine public house which has a large garden and conservatory and serves great food and drink. Series prize presentations will be awarded at this round.
