The Exodus Spring Series finally came to a close at Porridge Pot Hill, Deepcut today on a course described by many as 'classic Gorrick'. There were steep ups and twisty downs on the dry course with not a single puddle in sight considering the heavy rain during the week.

A fine sunny day and the promise of excellent beer brewed onsite brought a bumper turnout to The Flowerpots Inn at Cheriton. Riders enjoyed fast, dry and quiet trails including sections of the South Downs Way.

What seemed like a badly timed rain shower at 8.30am on Sunday morning fortunately didn't materialise into anything more menacing as 70 riders got under way in the 7 lap race.

The course for this Sunday's enduro will be broadly similar to last year's, and will include the expert mountain bike area and all the classic singletrack out towards Crowthorne Wood.

The tough climbs around Hawkley - not to mention the local town of Steep - was the venue for some tough competition today. Good trail conditions helped many riders acheive scores to within a couple of hundred of the maximum, consequently podium placings were in some cases split by time.
