12:12 TORQ in your Sleep: THE DUSTY ONE - Full Results

by Paul Howard, 25 Aug 14. Results [  ]

Well done everyone!! Thank you for making the 7th edition of 12:12 such a superb event. Thank you too to our very supportive and generous sponsors. Now the dust has quite literally settled having been dampened down by Monday's rain we hope you're relaxing at home viewing the Results which can be accessed via the link above. Note that these are subject to final checking.

The 8 mile race course was different yet again to previous years showing the versatility Minley Manor can offer. I'm sure riders will be talking about some notable sections for months to come; Banksey is always fun - split into two this time, Back to Front - the long descent from the top Sunset Wood field is a blast, and as for Sponge Bob Climb? What a killer; "like riding on a mattress", "little devils pulling at my tyres", "my hardtail suddenly gained rear suspension", just some of the comments I heard.

Racing was hard fought in all the categories as both teams and solos showed some outstanding lap times and consistency as you'll see from the results. The vibe on the course was excellent with lot's of banter, friendly overtaking and the sounds of the Bridge to Nowhere disco to lighten the mood. From all at Gorrick, the Army CU and the event sponsors we thank you and look forward to welcoming you back to TORQ 8 in 2015.

The last round of our XC Skedaddle Spring Series at Porridge Pot Hill, Deepcut, Camberley is fast approaching.
