VENUE CHANGE: Gorrick Autumn Classic 2 now at Minley Manor, 10 November
by Jane Lucas, 06 Nov 13.
For reasons beyond our control, we will not be able to hold our Endura Autumn Classic 2 cross country event at Crowthorne Wood this Sunday. We do apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience that this may cause.
We will however still be running the event, at Minley Manor, Yateley, Hants.
The event will be well signed (you don’t go into the actual Manor house entrance) and GU17 9UF is the nearest postcode which is for the houses on the venue’s entrance road. The entrance is a good tarmac to gravel road off the main A327 Minley Road, and only a minute from the M3 junction 4a.
This venue is well known to those of you who have ridden the 12:12 TORQ in your Sleep and, despite some tree thinning in the central section which we have had to work around, we have designed an XC course that will include many of your favourite sections.
All the facilities will be there as usual, and we look forward to seeing you there.

A hearty "Well Done!" to all who came and raced in the constant drizzle at Frith Hill. Early racers were rewarded with a slightly moist track, but large puddles and rivers of flowing water soon changed course conditions to require a shortened lap. But all agreed the course was still 100% rideable and there were many smiling gritty faces...

Gorrick 12:12 Torq in your Sleep - Course Map
by Paul Howard, 13 Aug 13.
Just what you've all been waiting for - the Torq In Your Sleep course map for 2013. It's a hugely complex venue to make the most of the terrain and as you'll see the map is highly intricate with trails seemingly criss-crossing over one another. Indeed thanks to the Bridge to Nowhere the course is essentially an 8 mile figure of eight, but this time we cross the bridge twice and pass under once. So three opportunities to hear DJ Alex's banging tunes at night! Riders familiar with previous courses will be surprised and pleased with the tweaks. The Gorrick Team have been riding the course for a few months now checking out the new sections and ensuring they work as desired. We certainly like it and hope you do to.
Please do pre-ride the course on the Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning to familiarise yourselves with any technical elements, look for the best lines, and to determine suitable overtaking areas.

Results: Are You Tough Enough?
by Paul Howard, 07 Jul 13. Results [ 1» ]
So then, were you tough enough? Of all the AYTE's this was by far the hottest conditions it's been run in. And although the course was great fun but relentless there didn't seem to be as many riders suffering the dreaded cramps as there has been at previous venue Porridgepot Hill. On behalf of the Army Cycling Union we hope you enjoyed the course and the event as a whole. Full results are now published.
